Good news reported by Paul Waugh over at PoliticsHome, as far as fans of new media are concerned.

It has been decided that it is now legitimate to Tweet from the chamber of the House of Commons and to use tablets in the chamber instead of paper should MPs so choose!

I see this as great news for openness and transparancy and applaud those MPs like my own Rob Halfon who already tweet and blog a lot about what they do on behalf of their constituents.

I look forward to Councils up and down the country adopting a similar approach!
