As I mentioned recently, in the “State of the Town Speech” the 2009/2010 Pantomime at the Council run Harlow Playhouse was the most successful panto in the town’s history. One of the things I am really pleased about is that despite bringing in a professional panto, we have kept a community feel to it by including lots of locals in the production, and it looks like the same will be true for the 2010/2011 Panto.
On Sunday more than 150 Harlow youngsters auditioned for a place in this years panto – Aladdin. The Judges, New World Productions, who produced last years Cinderella spectacular had the unenviable task of choosing just 30 children to be in Aladdin.
Director Guy Pascall was delighted at the quality of the youngsters auditioning, which jut reinforces my view that we have a bunch of very talented people in Harlow.
It promises already to be a very good Panto, so why not consider booking seats now?
